The Best Keepsake

I love to spread the love for Mixed Drinks and Cocktails. I got lots of tools for it too, as a bartender: the alcohol IQ, the ratios, the intuition, the research, the mixology, the equipment, the experience...
...Except.

Except, my spreading of the love is contingent upon my clients and customers.

And that is why I have decided that for those who step forth to contact me (ie, the Hosts and Hostesses), will receive from me a personalised copy of the exact recipes of the drinks used for the party, all nicely formatted and printed out and everything. For those who know me I make things pretty cute.
It'll be the most unique souvenir and memory keepsake you can have from your party, because this is the thing you were a part of putting together and all the fun you brought to the table.
To my hosts and hostesses: you are awesome.
Oh happy days (:
Best,

It's All About Connection

What's all the booze for?

My professor once said to me that he built a bar to "Expand my knowledge in understanding the world." There are too many witty quotes and descriptions of why alcohol and the art of imbibing has become such an important culture today, and they all relate to one thing: connection.

You see, what you choose drink says far too much about your character and personality. As James Waller states in Drinkology (2003):
If the person you're getting to know has lots of poetry on the shelf and an interesting selection of pop, jazz, and classical CDs scattered casually about - but the liquor cabinet contains only an unopened bottle of grenadine and a liter of cheap vodka with, perhaps, three fingers' worth of hooch left at the bottom - is this a friendship you seriously want to pursue? (11)
As a trained professional bartender from Taipei, I could not agree more. When a man who looks like some young, smooth stud who gets all the ladies comes to the bar and orders a Midori Sour...

Having a drink is a way to truly express yourself. Having a drink is a way to indulge in one of the greatest gifts life has to offer. Having a drink is a clean, elegant way to assert your character.

The Culture of Cocktails and Mixed Drinks has become something so wonderful today. It's just so celebratory to come together for a drink, and watching a bartender work her magic for your drink is thrilling. And when you have your drink, it's simply classy to be sipping and chatting with your friends or the bartender. All these things bring people closer together and help create a medium for connection, and a very unique, special, festive medium for that matter.

So let's make it something you'll have at hand for your next party. Invest in something that really brings the opportunity of connection and bringing people closer together. We're here to have a good time, and have a good-quality good-time while we're at it. Because we're all that deserving and that amazing.
